The development comes as a Russian attack killed at least 34 and injured more than 100 in Sumy. To this end, EU leaders are meeting to seek ways to help counter Russian aggression.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron described the latest Russian attack on Sumy as an abuse of human rights and disregard for United States of America President Donald Trump’s diplomatic efforts to end the war. “Blatant disregard for human lives, international law, and the diplomatic efforts of President Trump,” Macron said. Similarly, the incoming German chancellor, Friedrich Merz, accused Russia of “serious war crimes” and “perfidy” in the way the attack was conducted.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said the attack represented “the Russian version of a ceasefire.” However, the US viewed the latest Russian on Ukraine from a different perspective. Speaking to reporters on Sunday night, President Trump said the attack on Sumy was “terrible” but added he was “told it was a mistake.

” He then blamed Joe Biden for the Russian invasion of Ukraine, as he asserted, “This is not my war.” Trump’s comment comes as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told CBS in an interview that he feared that “Russian narratives are prevailing in the US. Consequently, Zelenskyy issued a dramatic plea to Trump, asking him to visit Ukraine to see the damage of the war, which escalated in 2022.

He said, “Before any kind of decisions, any kind of forms of negotiations, come to see people, civilians, warriors, hospitals, churches, and children destroyed or dead.” Related Topics: EU Russia Trump War Zelenskyy Don't Miss Algeria orders expulsion of 12 French embassy officials amid diplomatic row You may like Easter: Trump vows to defend Christian faith, champions Jesus’ divinity, resurrection Ukraine: Orthodox Church, UN condemn Russia’s Palm Sunday attack War: Visit Ukraine to see what Putin is doing to us – Zelenskyy tells Trump Tension in Hollywood over Trump’s tariffs on China Russia spurns US proposal, attacks Ukraine with 100 drones nightly – Zelenskyy US: White House provides update on President Trump’s health Advertise About Us Contact Us Privacy-Policy Terms Copyright © Daily Post Media Ltd.
