War 2: Ayan Mukerji Shoots Patch Scenes With Body Double, Here’s When Hrithik Roshan Will Resume Filming

Last month, Hrithik Roshan suffered a leg injury while rehearsing for an energetic track with JR NTR from their actioner War 2. Ayan Mukerji’s upcoming actioner ‘War 2’, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR is one of the most highly-anticipated films of the year. Last month, Hrithik suffered a leg injury while he was rehearsing for a dance sequence with Jr NTR for the film, post which the shoot of the song was postponed.

While Hrithik is recovering, Ayan Mukerji recently shot a brief patch sequence near Mazgaon Docks in Mumbai with the rest of the cast. It was carried out with body doubles and junior artistes. Meanwhile, Hrithik will likely join by April-end, once he has recovered fully.



Mid-Day quoted a source saying, “The patch shoot was carried out with body doubles and junior artistes. Hrithik is still in recovery, undergoing regular movement training and physiotherapy." The insider further revealed that Hrithik is expected to resume filming towards the end of April once he gets a go-ahead from his medical team.

Meanwhile, director Ayan Mukerji is working closely with the team to restructure the remaining schedule around Hrithik’s recovery. Since March, Ayan and his team used the downtime to lock post=production on the completed portions and fine-tune upcoming sequences. A source also told the portal that the makers are confident about wrapping up the film by May.

Hrithik’s dance scenes, meanwhile, will resume only once he is a 100 percent fit. Meanwhile, at a recent event in Atlanta, Georgia, Hrithik revealed that War 2 is nearly wrapped up- with only one final song, featuring Jr NTR, left to be filmed. Speaking about the film, the actor said, ““Bohot dar raha tha main ki part 2 kaisi hogi (I was very afraid about how the sequel would turn out.

But I have to say I am extremely proud of this film. Ek gaana bacha hai bas, the film is shot. And that song is with Jr NTR, which I’m going back now to film.

I hope I do well. I’m nervous—and he’s amazing. But this film will be bigger and better than part 1.

So wish me luck." War 2 is all set to hit the theatres on August 14, 2025..
