Topline: About the survey: The Department of Recreation and Parks is rolling out their Parks Needs Assessment. It’s a survey for residents to share feedback on the challenges, needs and any future ideas for neighborhood parks. The backstory: The department currently oversees nearly 16,000 acres of public parkland and amenities in L.A., including 559 park sites and 92 miles of trails.
The survey is long overdue — the last one conducted in 2009. L.A.
County last conducted a similar survey in 2016. What's next: You can fill out the survey here. Parks officials will also be out at community events to spread the word about the survey.
