I will admit, I am somewhat elated at the outcome of this presidential election. I believe it shows one important reality: plain old-fashioned common sense still prevails – period. This Harris/Walz ticket was a shame and a desperate attempt to keep this country moving in the wrong direction.

With Vice President Kamala Harris’ poor pick of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as the vice presidential candidate, she had another left-wing progressive with a socialistic philosophy and agenda that complemented hers. For the life of me, I cannot picture Harris in the same political arena when negotiating or having a grip on dealings with Putin, Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping or Ayatollah Khamenei.

I feel that her rehearsed animated facial expressions (and giggles) along with her eyeballs rolling and hands clasped with interlocking fingers would not bode well when dealing with Russia, North Korea, China and Iran. And honestly, I cannot believe the Democratic Party pinned their hopes on these two. Also, I really feel that divine intervention played a part in this 2024 election outcome.

Thankfully! Edward Stango Watertown.
