Autorickshaw unions, too, have launched initiatives to celebrate democratic participation. Keshav Kshirsagar, president, Baghtoy Rickshawaala union, said, "We plan to depute a large number of autorickshaws to transport senior citizens, women, and those in need, free of charge to and from polling booths in different parts of the city." "We will also print pamphlets in association with various NGOs working for voter education and electoral participation.
These pamphlets, with information on right to vote, will be placed inside menu cards at our member restaurants.
