Volleyball: Morningside Sweeps MMU

Morningside, rated 15th in the latest NAIA poll, claimed a 25-22, 25-19, 25-16 victory over Mount Marty in volleyball action on Saturday at Laddie E. Cimpl Arena. The matchup was considered a non-conference contest.

Sydney Marlow finished with 16 kills and 10 digs for Morningside (12-3). Claire Wilson posted 10 kills. Kyla Dyrstad recorded 18 assists, Aleksandra Dalach had 15 assists and Adelyn Harris added six solo blocks in the victory.



Julia Weber led Mount Marty (7-3) with 10 kills. Grace Nesdahl had seven kills. Tevan Erickson recorded 22 assists and seven digs.

Zoie Bertsch posted 12 digs and Caitlin Guenther added two solo blocks for the Lancers. Mount Marty travels to Midland in GPAC action on Wednesday..
