NEW ULM — Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart battled back from a first-set loss to knock BOLD out in the Section 2A volleyball quarterfinals on Thursday. The second-seeded Mustangs advanced with a 19-25, 25-17, 26-24, 26-24 victory over the seventh-seeded Warriors at Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School. BOLD concludes the season with a 13-12 record.
BLHS faces third-seeded Cleveland at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at St.
Peter. The Clippers beat sixth-seeded Martin County West in three sets on Thursday. On the other side of the 2A bracket, top-seeded Mayer Lutheran and fourth-seeded Sleepy Eye St.
Mary’s both advanced Thursday in St. Peter. Mayer Lutheran swept No.
8 Martin Luther/Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Truman. SESM beat No. 5 Cedar Mountain in three sets.
