The Vivo V50e is gearing up for a launch in India. The company has confirmed some important specifications but not the date of launch in India yet. The new smartphone boasts of great camera quality and a high-end finish on a mid-range price.

Meanwhile, Vivo kept its promise by bringing new additions to the V series lineup for high-end functions at mid-range prices. The V50e is sleekly designed and thin in its curved edges.
While the Pearl White version boasts a thickness of just 7.39mm, the Sapphire Blue is a tad thicker at 7.61mm.
Both colors come with a glass back panel that has a special texture giving it a premium look. With an IP68 and IP69 rating, the phone is one of the better-protected contenders in its price point against dust, immersion, and high-pressure water jets. The display is covered with an AMOLED panel with a quad curve on all four corners, endowed with a refresh rate of 120Hz, leading to smooth scrolling and animation while also offering comfort to hold due to the curved edges.
Vivo is playing up the camera system as one of the major USPs. The main camera has the Sony IMX882 sensor to take pictures full of detail. It has an ultra-wide camera as well to catch more in a single frame.

The latter creates portraits with wedding themes combined with film camera effects. The powerhouse of the V50e comprises MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip based on a 4nm process. The operating system runs Android 15 along with Vivo custom Funtouch 15 interface.
The phone is set to flaunt 8GB RAM along with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The V50e also features stereo speakers to enhance audio quality. The V50e provides several AI-enabled features: AI Image Expander for enlarging images astutely Magic Eraser to delete unwanted objects from фотографии Note Assist, helping in organizing and summarizing written notes Transcript Assist for conversion of voice recording to text Circle to Search option to search for anything on screen Though Vivo has not disclosed the official price, V50e is expected to cost below INR₹30,000.
As a reference, the predecessor (V40e) was priced at INR₹28,999, while the higher V50 was priced at INR₹34,999. The launch date has yet to be communicated, but grapevines suggest it will become available in the next few weeks. The phone will come in Sapphire Blue and Pearl White, both with textures that allow every unit to be a bit different.
It looks like the Vivo V50e will have a strong fighting chance, with premium features such as water resistance, great display, and great camera ability at this price point, into the mid-range segment.
