Despite not being the skipper of the team, it is Virat Kohli who has taken over the headlines on Australian newspapers. On Tuesday morning, the Indian cricket team’s batting hero emerged on the front pages of several Australian newspapers. Another India star who can be spotted on some Australian newspapers was left-handed batter Yashasvi Jaiswal.
The front pages of a few newspapers even had bold headlines in Hindi which was certainly a huge surprise. One of the newspapers gave a front page headline saying, “Yugon ki ladai” (Fight for the ages). Jaiswal, on the other hand, was hailed as “Navam Raja” or “The New King.
” On the other hand, Kohli comes into this series after putting up disappointing batting performances throughout the recently-concluded 3-match Test series against New Zealand at home. The star batter will be looking to turn his fortunes around in the highly important Border-Gavaskar series. The first match of the Border-Gavaskar series will be played from November 22 in Perth.
Then, the Men in Blue will travel to Adelaide to play a day-night Test from December 6. The series will then head over to Brisbane where the Test match will commence from December 14 before moving to Melbourne for the 4th and the all-important Boxing Day Test which will commence on December 26. Finally, the fifth Test of the series will be Sydney from January 3.
