Chennai; but in the second dig he has started well and also achieved a rare milestone. When he reached the score of 6 runs in the Indian second innings, Virat Kohli became only the fifth batter in cricket history to score over 12000 runs at home in international cricket (Tests/ODIs/T20Is).

Sachin Tendulkar leads this tally with 14192 runs at home across formats in 258 matches, followed by Ricky Ponting (13117 in 249 matches), Jacques Kallis (12305 in 234) and Kumar Sangakarra (12043 in 235). More to follow..
