Village pub suddenly closes due to 'flood'

A WORCESTERSHIRE village pub has temporarily closed due to a 'flood'. The Lion Inn in Clifton on Teme is currently closed due to a 'flood'. Staff expect the village pub to be closed for 'at least a couple of weeks'.

On January 30, staff took to Facebook, and said: "Unfortunately we are going to be closed for at least a couple of weeks due to a flood. "I will post again next week with an update". The Lion Inn has been approached for comment.



Videos posted on the pub's Facebook account show damp floors and water remaining on top of the bar area. Susan Cripps commented: "How awful. Never happened in the 25 years we lived just opposite behind the forge".

Avril Irish commented: "Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry. I hope you are all ok".

Christina Andrews commented: "Oh god, let us know if you need any help"..
