The Minnesota Vikings lost their second straight game to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night and some fans are still fuming over a no-call that happened in the final moments. But while Byron Young's face mask on Sam Darnold that wasn't called late in the fourth quarter in Thursday's game breeds plenty of anger, it also lent itself to some creativity as some Vikings fans used it to create an epic Halloween costume. X user @meg_lynn_g posted her take on the play, showing off her three kids dressed up over the weekend.
While one child tugs on the other's face mask another is dressed up as a referee, complete with sunglasses and a white can to imply that they are blind. Related: Vikings-Rams referee explains how blatant face-mask penalty in end zone was missed “We couldn’t see it.” #skol #vikings pic.

With the Vikings holding the ball down 28-20 late in the fourth quarter, Young grabbed Darnold's face mask during a sack in the end zone but no flag was thrown.
Referee Tra Blake said after the game that no official had a clear view of the play but several angles showed an official looking directly at the play as Darnold's head turned around like a scene from The Exorcist . Although the play lost the game, many chimed in to commend the creativity of this Halloween costume including Young, who offered a tongue-in-cheek compliment on X.
