Following a fighting hundred on day three of the third Test against India at the Gabba in Brisbane, Australian star Steve Smith took a blinder of a catch to see the back of KL Rahul on day four. The 35-year-old threw himself to his right and took the catch one-handed off Nathan Lyon's bowling as Australia got a breakthrough at a critical juncture. The dismissal occurred in the 43rd over of the innings as Rahul, on 84, played a late cut and Smith was vigilant to it and he spotted the ball, flinging himself to his right to take the catch.
Notably, the New South Welshman had dropped the Karnataka-born cricketer in the first ball of day as Aussie captain Pat Cummins drew an edge.
