Another quick moving system passes through overnight. This one will bring rain and wet snow, with some light accumulations north and west of Concord. Slippery travel is possible for some early Thursday, then it gets quite cold for the first official weekend of winter.
Snow and rain develop after 7 p.m. with the chance of a quick coating to 2" for many from the Monadnock Region to the Lakes Region.
2-4" of snow is possible north of the lakes into the White Mountains. The system will exit before sunrise on Thursday, though slick spots could linger into the morning commute. Mostly cloudy and breezy for many on Thursday as snow showers continue in the White Mountains.
Cooler as highs reach the 30s to around 40. Much colder air builds in by Friday with highs in the 20s. There's a chance of flurries, especially after sunset.
Mainly cloudy with a few flurries on Saturday. Most of the light snow is north and west of Concord. Highs again only in the 20s.
Then brutal cold air surges in Saturday night and into Sunday. Wind chills on Sunday morning could be in the double digits below zero! Looking ahead to Christmas..
