Indian actor and film director Manoj Kumar, particularly known for his patriotic films and the nickname ‘Bharat Kumar’, passes away at the age of 87 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Kumar retired from acting in 1999, but his movies are still watched the youth. He is the recipient of a National Film Award and was honoured the Padma Shri in 1992 and Dadasaheb Phalke Award; highest award in field of cinema in 2015 by the Government of India for his contribution to Indian cinema and arts.
