VEHARI - Deputy Commissioner Vehari Imrana Touqeer on Thursday inaugurated the Suthra Punjab Control Room at the DC Complex, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, DC Imrana Touqeer stated that the initiative aligns with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to ensure a cleaner and greener Punjab. She emphasized that the primary objective of the control room is to strengthen monitoring of the sanitation system throughout the district.
The Suthra Punjab Control Room will provide real-time monitoring of sanitation operations, including live tracking of waste collection vehicles. The movement of vehicles and the collection of waste will be digitally recorded. Daily performance evaluations of the Waste Management Company will be conducted, and penalties will be imposed in cases of unsatisfactory service.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance & Planning), Mr. Muzaffar Khan, briefed DC Imrana Touqeer on the system. He explained that working hours of each vehicle will be monitored, and live attendance of supervisors and sanitary workers will be ensured.
