Taking full responsibility for his film’s box office performance, the filmmaker granted others a free pass in his most recent interview.

According to the entertainment monitoring website Sacnilk, it has only made Rs 27 crore net in India and Rs 44 crore gross globally. Speaking to Fever FM, Bala claimed that Alia Bhatt had trusted him to create a movie that would do well at the box office and that he ought to have done so.
The 31-year-old made a decision to star in his movie, and the rest was up to him, the director added, expressing gratitude. Vasan Bala said, “She is the first choice for everyone. She could have been on any other film set, but Jigra, during that time.
So she has to make that choice. And she has trusted me with that choice. So it is my responsibility to deliver box office because we are in the business of filmmaking also.
