The new Valorant patch is here. Riot Games has released the patch notes for Valorant 10.06, which feature a slight rework for KAY/O and nerfs for both Yoru and Vyse.
The 10.06 patch notes are the first for a while to bring significant changes to the top agents, but even then some have barely been touched. There are few agents who have been given some changes, mostly in the form of nerfs and rebalances, which should give the current meta a little shakeup, even if this isn’t the sweeping changes that people may have been hoping for.
KAY/O gets the biggest list of changes, in an attempt to shorten the skill gap between the best players on the agent and the worst. The main way this is being done is by making some changes to his flash, which should now be easier to coordinate with the rest of your team. The full list of patch notes has the exact numbers if you want to check them out, but the simple version is that a lot of the values have been changed to make it easier to work with, including a 0.
8 second windup after it bounces to make it easier to coordinate other movements after throwing it out. The resurrection time on his ultimate has also been reduced, which again should make it a little more impactful and easier to combo with the rest of your team. Elsewhere in the patch Yoru gets a somewhat significant nerf in the form of a 100 credit increase in the cost of Fakeout.
It will now cost 200 credits instead of the previous 100, which should reduce how much utility Yoru can take throughout the game and make him a little less of a menace. Finally Vyse gets a big nerf, with the duration on both Razorvine and Shear being reduced by a few seconds. This should mean that she is no longer able to control space for long periods of time, and hopefully reduce just how annoying she can be.
The 10.06 patch notes also bring a lot of bug fixes to Valorant , which will surely please anyone who has run into an issue or two over the past few weeks. However, with Valorant in a reasonably stable place since other recent patches there isn’t all that many changes here to shout about, and chances are there won’t be many in the upcoming weeks either.
