DARTS POROLARCH Arrow are the champions of Port Moresby Dart Association’s 2024 season. Delivering the match winning check out on double four was Geua Vagi as she went on a nail-biting contest against Dark Moon 2, Marlene Kombe, who was chasing a double two. Porolarch finished off with six stars against Dark Moon 2, two stars.

Kombe had to work overtime in closing off the winning momentum of Porolarch, as she was tasked to bring back her team into contest. “It is very emotional (losing) given I had to sit back and watch my brothers (teammates) playing..

.I was expecting them to perform so I don’t have to settle for the do-or-die match. “When the second singles player went and played and lost, it was too much, this is the fourth year we made it to the grand final, we came second in the last three years and wanted to make sure this year we win but unfortunately we lost,” said Kombe.

For Porolarch, Vagi said it was just like any other usual game that she plays. “We only lost to Tioli so we had to play our best to reach the grand final.” “It was all on me, like if I can score that winning point my teammates will be happy,” said Vagi.

“All of us in the team come from Hanuabada and we joined Porolarch Arrow and we are happy to win the grand final.” Meanwhile settling for the third placing was BPNG. As one of the newcomers in the competition, the team defied all odds matching up against experienced opponents and securing a spot in the third/fourth placing playoffs.

BPNG skipper Howard Tarube said they too are excited to win third placing against Tioli. For them (BPNG), it was Iova Geita who checked out to seal off the win..
