The 26-year-old striker has six goals and three assists in 40 Championship appearances this season, a lower return on the 15 league goals he struck in United’s promotion from League One last season. Harris has previous Championship experience with Cardiff City, with whom he scored nine times across 85 league matches, of which 48 came as a substitute. “Leading the line, I think I’ve done alright. Obviously, the goals haven’t been what I’d have hoped, but I think I give my all leading the line, and I try to do my best. “Hopefully now I can just chip in with a couple more towards the end of the season, and just help the lads as much as I can.
” The top scorers in the Championship this season have mustered 17 (Borja Sainz), 15 (Joel Piroe) and 14 (Josh Sargent) goals. Harris said: “I don’t think anyone has touched near 20 yet. I think as long as the team is winning and we’ve reached our goals, I’m happy with whatever.
“As long as I’m playing and the team is safe, and we reach our goals, I’m more than happy.”.
