US lawmakers push to investigate McKinsey over its China work

A group of Republican lawmakers wants US government officials to investigate McKinsey over its work with the Chinese government and state-owned enterprises. Separately, US prosecutors are close to settling its US opioid investigations into the firm.

Login A group of Republican lawmakers are demanding a US federal investigation into McKinsey over its work with the Chinese government and state-owned enterprises. A letter from the group asks the Justice Department to investigate whether McKinsey’s $US480 million ($715 million) contracts with the US Defense Department comply with federal law while the consulting firm also advised China’s national and provincial governments and state-controlled businesses.
