Urvashi clarifies she has not been sidelined

Mollywood 's legendary actress, Urvashi , recently spoke out about the discussion going around on the Hema Committee report and cleared her position in the film industry . Talking to Manorama News, she said she has never been sidelined from acting roles. Urvashi explained her approach to choosing her roles, saying she acts only in those films that come out and invite her in.

Responding to whether she has been sidelined from films for a certain period, the ‘Ullozhukku’ actress said that responding to this will involve addressing many other complex issues. The legendary actress further said that she was asked by many why she hasn’t been cast in any superstar films for over 25 years and Urvashi mentioned that she's been working with directors and producers as family since the start.



She chooses the roles based on quality rather than the film's prominence or star cast. She said, “I don’t bother about who else is cast in the movie or what my role entails, I choose to act in films that invite me.” It was recently that Urvashi mentioned Fahadh Faasil as the ‘Best actor’ after Mohanlal and Mammootty.
