Two lucky Australians are yet to claim their mega-win from Saturday night’s lotto, and chances are, they’re not even aware they won yet. Two NSW residents, who purchased the winning tickets mere kilometres from each other in inner Sydney, hold one of 10 division one entries, scoring them a cool $2m each. However, without a registered player card, The Lott is unable to notify the Sydneysiders of their big payday; the only way they will be able to deliver the winnings is when the ticketholders come forward with their winning tickets.
It’s understood the lucky people purchased their winning tickets from Ezymart in Crystal St in Waterloo, and the other at Kings Cross Newsagency on Darlinghurst Rd, mere kilometres from each other. It’s likely the residents aren’t even aware of their winnings, said The Lott spokesman Matt Hart. “Our elusive winners are likely oblivious to the fact they each won $2 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw,” Mr Hart said.
Mr Hart encouraged the two people to come forward so they can collect their earnings. “Just imagine how exhilarating it would be to discover you’re now a multi-millionaire,” he said. ”Your plans for the rest of the year and beyond could change dramatically.
