Urgent recall issued for Mt Elephant choc chunk wholefood brownie mix and banana oat wholefood cookie mix

Two popular wholefood dessert mixes have been recalled after several undeclared allergens were discovered in batches.

A recall alert has been issued for two wholefood dessert packet mixes after undeclared allergens were discovered in batches. Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) issued the alert for the 350g Mt Elephant choc chunk wholefood brownie mix and the 375g banana oat wholefood cookie mix. The contaminated cookie mix has a best-before date of March 13, 2025 and the brownie mix has a best-before date of May 21, 2025 and May 22, 2025.

FSANZ issued the recall after the undeclared presence of the allergens milk, almond and peanut was detected in those batches. “Any consumers who have a milk, peanut, almond allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” FSANZ stated. “Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
