Former college football head coach and current Fox Sports analyst Urban Meyer recently spoke on the updated College Football Playoff rankings, alongside Mark Ingram and Rob Stone on "The Triple Option" podcast. During the show, the crew was discussing some of the biggest games of the Week 13 slate, which includes a matchup between the No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels and Florida Gators.

Ole Miss heads into the game as a 10.5-point favorite, per ESPN BET . While Meyer explained that he believed the Rebels would pull off the victory, he mentioned that the Gators would surely keep the game within the spread.

Meyer said that he's admired the fight from the Gators this season, despite rumors around the firing of head coach Billy Napier and the injury of starting quarterback Graham Mertz. While praising Napier and the Gators, Meyer took a subtle jab at the Florida State Seminoles. He accused the Seminoles, who are 1-9, of quitting on the 2024-25 college football season.

"I’m going to tell you something, I’m a fan of Coach Napier," Meyer said. "I don’t know him, I met him once or twice. They’ve been obviously really struggling, but the one thing they have not done like the team in Tallahassee is quit.

They have continued to fight." Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports The Seminoles came into the season as the No. 10 team in the preseason rankings.

They are the defending ACC champions, but this season has been nothing short of a nightmare in Tallahassee. Florida State has one of the worst offenses in the country, having played three quarterbacks in DJ Uiagalelei, Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek. They're averaging 14.

7 points and 258.9 yards per game. Their only win this season came at home against the California Golden Bears, 14-9, on Sept.

21. Head coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles have two games left in the season, home games against Charleston Southern on Saturday and rival Florida on Nov. 30.

While the Gators were dealt one of the most grueling schedules in the country, they're sitting at 5-5, fresh off a victory over No. 22 LSU. And despite that difficult schedule, the Gators only need one more win to be bowl eligible.
