PUTRAJAYA: The government has identified the individuals responsible for the error involving the display of the Jalur Gemilang in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination results analysis report.

PUTRAJAYA: The government has identified the individuals responsible for the error involving the display of the Jalur Gemilang in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination results analysis report.Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said the individuals were categorised into two groups — those in the DG48 grade and below, and those in DG48 and above."Action has been — and will continue to be — taken against all individuals involved," he said at the conclusion of the Southeast Asia Anti-Corruption Conference: Recalling Jakarta Statement.

He said the Education Ministry's disciplinary board was handling cases involving lower-grade officers, while the Public Service Department (PSD) was overseeing investigations and disciplinary proceedings for senior officers."Regarding the individuals at the DG48 level and above, action is being taken under the Public Officers (Conduct and Discipline) Regulations 1993," he added.Shamsul said the ministry had submitted its report, and the matter was under the PSD's purview.



Last week, the ministry issued an apology following the error involving the display in the report that was released on April 24.The ministry, in a statement, said printed copies of the report have been recalled, and corrections were being made immediately.It added that a thorough investigation was underway, vowing action would be taken against all parties involved.
