2025 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 gets a single-pod instrument console, new LED tail lamp and indicators, new switchgear, etc It is no secret that Royal Enfield has been developing a slew of motorcycles in the 350 cc, 450 cc and 650 cc segments as brand new models and updates are on the horizon. At the 2024 EICMA show in Milan, Italy RE will showcase its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea, and it could be accompanied by new products as well. A few months ago, Royal Enfield introduced the updated Classic 350 in India and its siblings, the Hunter 350, Bullet 350 and Meteor 350 will also get mid-cycle updates sooner rather than later.
The mid-life updates will also stretch to its flagship 650 cc lineup as the 2025 Interceptor 650 has been caught testing in its near-production guise. It must be noted that the Chennai-based manufacturer has been expanding its 650 cc range rapidly as the Shotgun and Super Meteor arrived in a short span of time. RE is currently developing a scrambler which could be dubbed the Interceptor Bear 650 and a Classic-themed twin too.
The updated Int 650 has been caught showing its new single-pod instrument cluster. We do expect Royal Enfield to revise the switchgear as well.
The test mule though retained the conventional telescopic front forks as opposed to the USD units found in recent REs. Furthermore, the tail lamp has been updated and the indicators have received the LED treatment. We do not expect any powertrain changes as the familiar 648 cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with 270-degree firing order will be carried over.
It currently produces over 47 PS maximum power and 52 Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed transmission.
