A 40-year-old man named Dilshad lost his life after falling from the roof of his house during a fight with his wife in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday night. While the family alleges that his wife, Shanno, pushed him during the argument, she claims that he jumped on his own. According to NDTV reports, the couple got into a heated argument when Dilshad returned home and asked for food.

Things escalated quickly, and in the midst of the quarrel, Dilshad fell from the rooftop. Though he was rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors declared him dead on arrival. Family Accuses Wife of Pushing Him Dilshad’s sister, Saima Bano, alleged that Shanno deliberately pushed her brother and had a history of conflicts with him.

“She never liked him and often picked fights. We saw her push him,” she said. Their mother, Qureesha Bano, who lives in the same housing society, supported the allegations.

She said the couple had been arguing frequently for the past few years, mostly over Shanno’s long conversations with someone unknown. “She would beat my son and even left home several times, but he always brought her back. Now because of her, we’ve lost him,” she added.

Wife Claims He Jumped Under Influence of Alcohol However, Shanno, who has been married to Dilshad for eight years, denied all charges. She stated that her husband, who was allegedly addicted to alcohol, came home drunk and jumped from the roof. “He used to drink every day and came home drunk last night too.

He jumped from the roof himself. My mother-in-law is falsely accusing me,” she said. She questioned the timing of the accusations, saying, “If I tolerated this for eight years, why would I harm him now?” ALSO READ: Andhra Pradesh News: Eight Killed, Seven Injured In Explosion At Firecracker Unit In Anakapalli Police Investigation Underway Following a formal complaint from the victim’s family, police took Shanno into custody.
