Up North food truck offers outdoor dining along scenic M-22

ARCADIA, MI – A food truck is offering convenient outdoor dining along scenic M-22 in Northern Michigan. Ketch 22 Kafe has “just the right bites” for your adventures in the Arcadia area and makes for a picturesque stop along the byway, which hugs the Lake Michigan shoreline from Manistee to Traverse City. Situated on a parking lot turned patio, the cafe includes a small stage, a tent, potted plants and soothing music.

While there is on-site and roadside parking, many customers visit Arcadia Marsh and then walk north across a grassy field to the food truck. Other nearby notable spots include Arcadia Beach Natural Area on Lake Michigan, the Arcadia Scenic Turnout with epic view of the big lake, Arcadia Dunes: The C.S.

All the entrees have catchy names like Ben’s Main Sail (chicken tenders and fries), The Ketch (pan-seared mahi mahi filet, remoulade and arugula on a brioche bun), Rip Tide (marinated pork, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, pickles and Cuban mustard on a ciabatta roll), and Dinghy (black bean burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup, mustard and mayo on a brioche bun). By late afternoon, most tables are in the shade. For other times of day, the large tent offers a respite from the sun along with soothing music playing from mounted speakers. There are outdoor heaters for any chilly evenings.

Potted plants brighten up the asphalt. The stage is adorned with light strings. Ketch 22, 17015 Northwood Highway in Arcadia, is open noon to 8 p.

m. Sunday, Monday and Wednesday to Saturday through September. In October, it will be open noon to 8 p.

m. Wednesday to Sunday. The food truck will then close for the season.
