UP downs Adamson, secures Final Four ticket

The University of the Philippines is now assured of a Final Four spot in UAAP Season 87 as they took down Adamson University, 70-59, on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena. The Fighting Maroons improved to 8-1, second behind league-leading De La Salle University (10-1), while the Soaring Falcons slipped to 3-7. JD Cagulangan had 17 points while Gani Stevens had 10 points for the Diliman-based squad.

Monty Montebon had 14 points, while Anthony Fransman and Cedrick Manzano had 13 and 12 points apiece for Adamson. Aside from UP, La Salle has also secured a slot in the league's semifinals. —JKC, GMA Integrated News.
