UP ByPolls 2024: Amid the by-elections on 9 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, Mainpuri MP and Samajwadi Party leader Dimple Yadav has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party administration in the state was acting arbitrarily.Dimple Yadav said, "The Bharatiya Janata Party is losing; the kind of rumours they are spreading shows that they are scared of a heavy loss. The BJP is engaging in hooliganism wherever elections are being held and the entire administration is acting like an agent of the BJP. Taking note of the allegations, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar ordered the suspension of police personnel found violating its guidelines and directed poll officials to pay heed to the complaints.Yadav further suggested that the BJP’s actions reflect its panic and a waning grip on power. "Their throne is trembling. The public is against them, and even within their ranks, dissent is growing," he asserted.
