Living NBA legend Steph Curry has produced another astonishing performance, steering Golden State towards a 134-125 victory over the Grizzlies in Memphis with a 52-point game on Wednesday AEDT. The 37-year-old, who notched 19 points in the first quarter, his highest-scoring opening stanza of the season, accumulated 12 three-pointers from 18 attempts across the game, falling just two short of the NBA record. He also scored ten straight Warriors points during the second quarter, passing Jerry West for 25th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list in the process.
It was the 15th 50-point game of Curry’s NBA career, putting him equal-sixth on the all-time list alongside Damian Lillard and ahead of LeBron James. Meanwhile, no player has more 50-point games in the NBA after their 35th birthday. He also contributed ten rebounds, eight assists and five steals during the contest.

Ja Morant scored a team-high 36 points for the Grizzlies.
The Warriors, now fifth on the Eastern Conference standings having leapfrogged the Grizzlies, are 18-2 when Curry and Jimmy Butler play together. They will next face the Lakers in Los Angeles on Friday. More to come.
