[UNOFFICIAL] Ayer Kuning by-election: BN maintains lead with voting 19 streams counted

TAPAH: Barisan Nasional (BN) continues to lead in the Ayer Kuning by-election, with its candidate Dr Mohamad Yusri Bakir receiving 3,456 votes.

TAPAH: Barisan Nasional (BN) continues to lead in the Ayer Kuning by-election, with its candidate Dr Mohamad Yusri Bakir receiving 3,456 votes.As of 7.20pm, his opponent from Perikatan Nasional (PN), Abdul Muhaimin Malek, had received 1,451 votes, followed by Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) candidate K.

S. Bawani, who had received 264 votes.A total of 19 out of the 67 voting streams have been counted so far.



Updates on the current unofficial results were announced by Umno secretary-general Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki at the BN Command Centre in Kampung Haji Tahir here.Also present were Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Perak Amanah chairman Datuk Asmuni Awi, and Perak DAP treasurer Howard Lee.© New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd.
