WORTHINGTON — The latest edition of the free “Strategic Farming: Let’s Talk Crops” webinar series has been set starting Jan. 8. Some of the key issues and questions around commodity crop production facing Minnesota farmers today will be discussed.
The live, online program provides up-to-date, research-based information to help optimize crop management strategies for 2025. Sessions are held over Zoom, which can be accessed via computer, phone or other mobile device, and will run from 9 to 10 a.m.
Wednesdays, Jan. 8 through March 26. According to the news release from University of Minnesota Extension, sessions are very informal and open to all interested.
Each session will start with a brief presentation by the discussion leaders for the day, followed by discussion framed around farmer/participant questions on the topic. Register at z.umn.
edu/strategic-farming for the entire program series, and attend any or all of the webinars. Sessions also will be recorded and posted for viewing later. Topics range from nitrogen management to crop diseases and pests, managing weeds and herbicide spray technology.
