UK flood map live as urgent River Thames warning issued - full list of areas affected

Nearly 250 flood alerts and warnings - including a rare 'severe' warning where flooding poses a danger to life - remain in place across much of England today. The Environment Agency (EA) has issued 116 'red' warnings that dozens of rivers are expected to flood - including parts of The Thames. Another 123 'Amber' alerts, a warning that flooding is possible, have also been issued for rivers and around the country It comes as river levels remain very high due to persistent heavy rainfall associated with Storm Bert .

Worryingly, the Met Office says more rain is on its way later today and issued yellow warnings for the south and south east of England. The Met Office said: "A band of rain will move into the southwest this evening, pushing across Wales and southern England overnight with brisk winds. Drier in the north with a patchy frost.



" For tomorrow, (Wednesday, November 27) the Met Office says there will be "outbreaks of rain becoming more confined to eastern England through the day". It covers an area around the Billing Aquadrome and nearby business parks.

The warnings states: This warning has been re-issued due to deep and fast flowing water which remains on the park and which will continue to be extremely hazardous throughout the night. It reads: "This means there is danger to life and you must act now. Call 999 if in immediate danger, follow advice from emergency services, keep yourself and your family safe.

Severe flooding is expected to continue. Please evacuate the area."
