New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to begin the written exam for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 session.
The UGC NET December 2024 exams will be held from January 3 to 16, 2025. The Agency will be conducting the NTA UGC NET Dec 2024 exams in two shifts across the country. Candidates who have registered for the entrance exam must get familiar with the UGC NET exam instruction before going to the exam.

UGC NET December 2024 exam highlights UGC NET shift timings and reporting time The Agency will be conducting the UGC NET December 2024 exam in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 9 am to 12 pm. The second shift will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The exam authority has clearly stated that the registration desk will be closed 30 minutes prior to the exam. UGC NET exam pattern The UGC NET written exam consists of two papers. Paper 1 intends to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate.
The UGC NET paper 1 consists of 50 questions with 2 marks each. The paper 2 is based on the subject selected by the candidate. The paper 2 comprises of 100 questions with 2 marks each.
The duration of the exam is three hours.
