(Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC) The final UFC card of 2024 isn’t a pay-per-view, and it may not have a title fight on it, but the promotion appears to be going out with a bang to end the year. On Tuesday, October 29, the UFC announced three fights for the December 14 card in Tampa, Florida.

However, the account edited the post moments later, removing the third fight. The initial post included the Mackenzie Dern vs. Amanda Ribas fight, which would have been a pivotal strawweight scrap.

The edited post removed that fight and only confirmed the Manel Kape vs. Bruno Silva and Vitor Petrino vs. Dustin Jacoby.

It is unclear if any fights will be the main or co-main events, but it makes the card look strong on paper. The graphics the UFC posted don’t reflect the most recent rankings released earlier in the day. Perhaps that’s why the Dern-Ribas fight was removed.

The graphic had Dern ranked No. 12 and Ribas at No. 9 when they are sixth and ninth, respectively.

It’s also possible Dern got her wish to be moved to the UFC 310 card for a rematch with Virna Jandiroba. ‘Your Money Is Being Wasted’—Tesla Billionaire Elon Musk Declares ‘Financial Emergency’ As $35.7 Trillion ‘Debt Bomb’ Primes A Bitcoin Price Boom To Rival Gold Trump Vs.

However, Suarez was removed from the fight. It’s unclear if she’s injured or potentially being saved for a championship opportunity against Weili Zhang at UFC 311 in January.

If that’s the case, Dern could face Jandiroba with a chance to put herself in the title mix at 115 pounds. Dern beat Janridoba by a unanimous decision in December 2020. We know No.

8 Manel Kape will face No. 13 Bruno Silva in a flyweight clash. The fight is crucial for Kape, who has had several opportunities to elevate himself in the division.

He’s either lost, injured, or missed weight, preventing him from getting a shot at the UFC flyweight championship. Also, promising Brazilian slugger Vitor Petrino will get a bounce-back opportunity when he faces veteran Dustin Jacoby. After rolling off 11 straight wins to start his MMA career, Petrino ran into a veteran with the perfect gameplan for him in May when he lost to Anthony Smith via first-round submission.

It will be interesting to see if Petrino has worked on his cardio before this fight with Jacoby. Here is a look at the rumored fights for the UFC Tampa card, per Tapology . Stay tuned for more information on the Tampa card and the next fight info on Dern, Ribas, Jandrioba, Suarez, and Weili.
