UFC: Aaron Tau still on radar despite loss in Dana White’s Contender Series, Eugene Bareman says

Aaron Tau remains on the UFC’s radar. While the Kiwi bantamweight fell to a unanimous decision loss in his bid to earn a UFC contract in Dana White’s Contender Series on Wednesday, it is far from the end of the road for the 31-year-old. Speaking to the Herald , Eugene Bareman, Tau’s coach from Auckland gym City Kickboxing, said there had been positive feedback following Tau’s performance in a bout entertaining enough that many questioned if the UFC would sign both athletes.

“I think Aaron’s done his job,” Bareman said. “I think Aaron will get another opportunity of some sort and I think it’ll be sooner than later, so hopefully, I don’t think he’ll have to wait until next year’s Contenders..
