Udupi: Scorpio catches fire on NH 66, occupants escape unhurt

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (MS) Udupi, Jan 6: A Scorpio vehicle traveling along NH 66 between Udupi and Mangaluru caught fire near Tenka Ermalu here. The fire originated in the engine compartment of the vehicle, which reportedly belonged to residents of Balkunje. Demonstrating quick thinking, the driver and two other occupants promptly exited the vehicle, ensuring no injuries occurred.

With the timely assistance of locals and a swift response from the Udupi district fire service personnel, the fire was successfully extinguished..
