The Frenchman said he has not been able to win any silverware which would make people see how good he is. The 23-year-old has been a key player for the Gunners over the last two seasons.

The French defender has contributed five goals and two assists in 87 games across competitions since his first-team debut in the 2022-23 campaign. Saliba featured in all 38 Premier League games with Arsenal last season. The 23-year-old has also been a key player for his national team, France, playing 23 times, including every minute of all six games at Euro 2024.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League opener at Atalanta on Thursday, Saliba told Fox Sports, “I have been on the right track for both seasons, mainly last season. “I’m perhaps on my way to becoming the best defender in the world. I think I’m one of the best at the moment, but to say that I have to win some titles.

I think that’s what I’m missing right now. “If you win titles, you’re good and if you don’t, you can’t say you’re the best. That’s what I believe.

I’m one of the best in the world.” Related Topics: UCL William Saliba Don't Miss Guardiola speaks on De Bruyne’s injury ahead of Man City’s EPL clash with Arsenal You may like UCL: ‘More 1000 goals my brother’ – Sergio Ramos hails Mbappe UCL: We need to be ready for Atalanta — Jorginho tells Arsenal teammates UCL: Arteta confirms ‘significant’ injury for Odegaard ahead of Atalanta clash UCL: He’s special – Ancelotti lauds Real Madrid star UCL: Mbappe enters top 10 all-time Champions League goalscorers [Full list] UCL: My dad was a refugee from Congo – Kompany tells critics after Bayern’s 9-2 win Advertise About Us Contact Us Privacy-Policy Terms Copyright © Daily Post Media Ltd.
