UC Davis Picnic Day brings thousands of students, families, alum to campus

A decades-long tradition returned to UC Davis on Saturday. Picnic Day is filled with events, live performances, and exhibits highlighting what's being done within the university's academic departments, but at the center of it all is a focus on community. “I've been seeing a lot of smiling faces,” said Rishita Dwivedi, a Picnic Day student organizer. “I'm just happy to see all of it come to fruition and everyone's just having a great time.” The event draws tens of thousands of people each year.
