A Tyler attorney with decades of experience has died.

A Tyler attorney with decades of experience has died. Keith Miller, a personal injury lawyer and owner of the Law Office Of Keith Miller in Tyler, died Friday, representatives said. Miller grew up in Tyler and attended Tyler Junior College then graduated in 1980 from North Texas State University in Denton, according to his firm's website.

He then worked as an investigator and law clerk for Erskine, Smith & McMahon. After two years as an insurance adjuster at State Farm, he entered law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School and became a licensed attorney in 1990.



He practiced in Tyler and East Texas ever since. Miller previously said he became a personal injury attorney to be like his father. He said helping hardworking people who had been hurt and take advantage of was a priority for him.

Miller's law office on 100 Ferguson St. in Tyler will remain open, and is under management by attorney Shane McGuire. “Keith was a legend in the legal field,” McGuire said.

“It was an honor to work alongside him on hundreds of cases. I will greatly miss our conversations, not just about legal strategy but about life. My family and I are deeply saddened by this loss.

” Representatives from Miller’s office will contact all of his clients in the coming days to update them on their cases, Miller's law office said. Clients with immediate concerns or inquiries should contact the office at 903-597-4090. Visitation for Miller will be held Friday, Sept.

20 at 10 a.m., with services starting at 11 a.
