Two women have been charged over their alleged involvement in a sickening fight that left one woman unconscious during an NRL match. The brawl broke out at the end of the game between the Canterbury Bulldogs and the Newcastle Knights at Sydney Olympic Park’s Accor Stadium about 8.15pm on Sunday.

Following an investigation, police sought to speak to four men and four women who were described as having a Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance and in their 20s.
On Wednesday, police arrested two women from the group and charged them with affray. The women, aged 35 and 37, were granted conditional bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on April 17. While police previously released photos of the eight people involved, it is unclear which two women were charged.
