SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Lovers of music festivals now have a new option to attend two of this year's the biggest events in Southern California — Wonderfront and Same Same But Different — for a steep discount.The new "Wonderfully Different" pass announced by the festivals' organizers on Thursday will give holders general admission access to both festivals this year for just $449. To purchase passes separately for the two would cost more than $800.
Organizers describe the pass as an "golden ticket" opportunity to experience the region's vibrant music scene. But there's a catch: There's only 50 available.Music lovers who want to try to nab the dual-festival pass before they're gone can do so through Wonderfront's ticket portal.
Fallbrook community comes together for local student to play at Carnegie HallThose who purchase before April 15 will receive their Wonderfront wristbands in the mail before the event, which runs from May 16 to May 18 in San Diego. After April 15, wristbands can be picked up at the festival's box office in Ruocco Park, at the corner of Harbor Drive and Pacific Highway.Tickets for Same Same But Different will be sent through the festival's ticketing platform to purchasers of the "Wonderfully Different" pass.
Same Same But Different will be held at Lake Perris in Riverside County from Sept. 26 to Sept. 28.
Wonderfront is one of San Diego's longest-running music festivals, taking place annually in and around downtown.This year's event will feature headliners Peggy Gou, Daniel Caesar, Anderson .Paak, Foster the People, Jason Mraz, Khruangbin and Gary Clark Jr.
Other notable performers at the three-day festival include Janelle Monáe, Neon Trees, The Fray, Julien Baker & Torres, and Freddie Gibbs.Same Same But Different has not yet announced its lineup for this year's iteration of the festival, but past artists at the festival include Baauer, Beats Antique, Big Wild, Griz, Polo & Pan, and Louis the Child..
