Two more men have been sentenced over a Worcestershire prison mutiny that left thousands worth of damage and staff injured.

Christopher Morrisey and Callum Cheetham join five other prisoners who were sentenced over an incident at HMP Long Lartin where inmates took control of a wing in the Evesham-based prison in 2019. Morrisey, aged 47, was given an additional 40 months to run alongside his 34 years in prison and Cheetham, aged 30, was handed 20 months to run alongside the 17 years he is already serving. The two were sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on October 15. Some of the staff sustained injuries and over £110,000 worth of damage was done. Specialist prison control and restraint, Tornado Teams were brought in from HM Prisons from across the country, including HMP Birmingham, HMP Bristol, HMP Woodhill, HMP Bullingdon, HMP Featherstone, HMP Brinsford, HMP Oakwood and HMP Cardiff. Once inside the prison, they regained wing control within 10 minutes.
