Two men charged in Luis Marin murder

Posted: Saturday, April 12, 2025. 8:36 pm CST. By Aaron Humes: 18-year-old Scorian Stuart and 23-year-old Michael Gillett have been charged with the murder of 24-year-old Luis Marin in Belize City earlier this week.

Marin was shot dead inside a Pinks Alley residence after being sought as a suspect in the shooting attack on Jamal Hyde and others outside a supermarket last weekend in Belmopan. Police confirmed that Marin was considered a suspect, but the search was low-key to improve the chances of his identification during an official parade. As it turns out, someone retaliated and took Marin out permanently.
