Two men and teenage boy charged over Sittingbourne phone shop robbery

Two men and a teenage boy have been arrested and charged in connection with a phone shop robbery. The three suspects are alleged to have stolen thousands of pounds of stock after forcing their way into a Vodafone store in Sittingbourne High Street. The incident happened at around 5.

20pm on Thursday (October 17). Responding patrols had arrested the trio by 7pm in a park near Canterbury Street, Gillingham. Several devices suspected to be stolen were seized.



Ionut Calin, 22, of Milton Road, Gillingham; Valentin Ciuraru, 24, of Central Park Road, east London, and a 17-year-old boy from east London were all charged with robbery. They are due to appear before Medway Magistrates today (October 19). A Kent Police spokesperson said: "Enquiries to locate a silver Audi A3 are ongoing, and anyone with information that may assist the investigation is urged to call Kent Police on 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/176454/24.
