Two killed as van hits bikes

Chennai: Two real estate agents, aged 70 and 45, were killed in a road accident after a van carrying Aavin milk sachets hit their bikes near Padi in Ambattur. The deceased were identified as Baskar, 45, a resident of Korattur, and Babu, 70, of Kolathur. Police said the mini-truck laden with Aavin milk packets lost control and hit the bikes from behind at the same time.

The van ran over them, killing them on the spot. The panicked truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled. Bodies were sent to Kilpauk Medical College (KMC) hospital.



Police registered a case and launched a hunt for the absconded truck driver..
