The New York Jets need all the star power they can get when going up against Josh Allen and the AFC East champion Buffalo Bills this Sunday in Orchard Park. Unfortunately, two important starters, one on each side of the ball, are trending toward unavailability. Wide receiver Davante Adams and cornerback Sauce Gardner were listed as non-participants for the second straight day.

The Jets did not practice on Wednesday, so the DNP status is only an estimation, but neither Adams nor Gardner were active when the team returned to the practice field on Thursday in Florham Park. Adams is a new addition to the injury report this week, popping up with a hip problem. Last time out, he played 67 of 69 offensive snaps against the Los Angeles Rams on December 22.

Meanwhile, Gardner is dealing with a hamstring issue for the second time in the past month. He was forced out early in the loss to the Rams and never returned. Gardner missed the December 8 game against the Miami Dolphins due to the hamstring, but he returned for the December 15 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and played all 84 defensive snaps in the Week 15 affair.
