Prayagraj: A joint team of Daraganj police and the Special Operations Group (SOG) on Wednesday arrested a notorious drug peddler and seized 110 grams of smack worth Rs 11 lakh, Rs 1.80 lakh cash, one electronic weighing machine, one tablet, and 16 mobiles from his possession. The arrest was made near the Sariya area while Sonu Nishad alias Sonu Takla of Bakshi Khurd was planning to dispose of the drugs.
Meanwhile, the Handia police also arrested a drug peddler identified as Amit Tripathi, alias Mukund of Chaura Badera. They seized 1300 kg of ganja worth Rs 1.5 crore, three cars and an electronic weighing machine from his possession.
